Picture Books

Everyone needs a little inspiration..below are some of my favorite fashion reads:

The Sartorialist is full of amazing photographs taken from Scott Schuman’s blog. He captures people on the street and it’s fun to see what different kinds of outfits he finds interesting. There are lots of pictures and very few words (which is really how I prefer to read).

Savage Beauty was published to coincide with the current Alexander McQueen exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art organized by The Costume Institute. It showcases his life work and has quotes from the designer himself.

Parisian Chic is a style guide by Ines de la Fressange (french style icon and muse/model for Carl Lagerfeld) where she shares the well-kept secrets of how Parisian women maintain effortless glamour and a timeless allure. This books has a mix of photographs and illustrations and is all about the Parisian point of view.

New Shoes: Contemporary Footwear Design is a book all about SHOES.. need I say more?
